It very nearly was "Columbia, the Gem of the Ocean". I wish it had been. Supposedly, the Star-Spangled Banner was set to the tune of an English drinking song, "To Anacreon in Heaven
". However, I googled the words to that song and they bear no resemblance to the music of our national anthem. Wherever the tune came from, it is impossible to sing well, even if you aren't Rosanne Barr. For those of you who forgot, her butchery of the anthem was legendary.

That song shouldn't be played on the radio since it offends me.

"Imagine" works just as soon as the republic becomes a socialist nation.
