It's split. There are two main falls -- the Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side, and the American Falls on the US side and together they're the Niagara Falls. The land between the two sets of falls is also on the US side of the border. There are also cities on either side of the border called Niagara Falls (NY and ON).
