Issue with my Samsung Galaxy S7 Cellphone? ?

Last night, my phone randomly shut down and restarted.  When I first noticed that there was an issue, my phone was stuck in a reboot loop.  Now that I'm checking on my phone again, it has currently moved past that and is just stuck on a white screen with the verizon logo on the screen.  The phone also is very hot so I'm not sure that it isn't overheated at the moment.  I can't get into my phone nor can I power it off or restart it.

Anyone know how to get this issue resolved?  I really don't want to purchase a brand new cellphone.  Not only is a new phone expensive, I don't wish to lose my photos and/or videos that have not been backed up as I ran out of space in my cloud.

I don't know how to fix it and I'm freaking out!

The heat might be causing the phone to shut down. Modern tech, or anything with a processor has a heat sensor (thermometer) that will cause the product to throttle or shut down once a certain temperature point has been reached.

Back in the day, around 15 years ago, tech products didn't have such a heat sensor, and these products would overheat to the point being damaged.

The s7 is from when? 2016, right? The Li-Ion battery has degraded and it needs to be replaced. When these batteries become overly degraded, they will overheat, which actually causes the battery to waste more power. Now, you're at the point of either paying someone to replace the battery and hoping the replacement works or you'll just have to get another phone.

Li-Ion batteries last 2-3 years depending on how hard the phone is used. I'm surprised your phone made it this far.
