Why do female newscasters have to look as though they're posing for a magazine cover or dressed for a cocktail party or formal event? Where I live, the women on the news appear to have more facial work done than any actress or model and wear skin-tight clothing with lots of bare skin. Not that women cannot dress that way if they so chose, but why do male newscasters continue to be attired in professional clothing while the females seem to succumb to beauty and sexual ideals?
