Why do some anonymous theists need to block atheists to say that atheists say trees couldn't survive Noah's flood? ?
Tree roots need oxygen as well as water. Too much oxygen and they die of drought, too much water and they drown. Some trees are more tolerant, but in any case if the tree’s roots are underwater for over a week this can be really bad news. In the worst case, the tree simply dies but in many scenarios, the trees flush a pale yellow in the spring and succumb to bacteria... but you don't need to lie you can anonymously say some Harry Potter thing keep the trees fine.... mythical explanation can do anything
dewcoons, the rain lasted forty days, the flood lasted a year. The water would have been salty so all plants and most seeds would have perished. If you are going to have Noah eating the herbivores, and the carnivores eating the herbivores and the herbivores unable to eat anything due to there being no plants, you are soon going to have nothing left for anything to eat. That is science and common sense, not the anti-science nonsense in Genesis.
Your assumption is that the adult trees survived. There is nothing in the account of the Noahic flood to suggest that they did. Rather after the flood God first had man begin to eat meat because plant life was limited. The trees and the rest of plants cam back from seeds that did survive the flood. Remember that Noah and the animals were in the ark for an entire year. Will beyond the 40 days of the actual flood. And the event that lead to Noah finally releasing the animals (long after they had come to rest on the ground) was a dove brining back an olive leaf showing that plant life was once again maturing across the earth.
We do not have to explain why the trees did not drown since the Bible does not say they survived the flood. That is an mistaken assumption on your part. We do not need "Harry potter" magic to explain how plant live survived. We just need science and common sense.
