Will less people go to college into the future because of cost? I read that more and more companies are dropping degree requirements. Does this mean that the percentage of people with a 4 year degree will decline? Right now it stands at 35% in the USA

If the DEMOCRATS have their way the country will be a Socialist, Marxist, Communist Society/Govt. then YES less people will go to college because you WILL NOT have a choice, the govt. will tell you what, when, where and how!

It's fewer people; not less people. I suspect it will remain pretty much the same even though costs will go up because rising costs usually also go along with rising salaries. Even the minimum wage increases. There are always scholarships and grants. People can still work part-time while attending school full-time OR work full-time and attend school part-time as many adults do.
Many people don't attend to get a 4 year degree. Some take classes in specific fields to get a desirable job or to be promoted. It is still a good idea to attend technical schools; a 4 year college degree isn't for everyone. There are options.

I rather do technical school.4 year is just to expensive unless your going to get a high paying job like a lawyer or doctor or anything in the science or medical field.most people who went can’t even pay the loans which they can’t buy anything else.no job and so much debt.It just has to be worth the money and make sure u look at the job market first.

I think fewer will get degrees, but more will go. The trend seems to be towards taking just the classes required for a specific job, rather than a broader traditional degree program.
