Why is Y!A showing us questions from 8-10 years ago?

I'm looking at the answers to a question I posted myself. I scroll down a bit, and the "next question" is from a decade ago. Prior to finding answers to my own questions, I was at "Answer" not "Discover." But since that's not the page I found the old questions on, that may not be relevant. So none of the answers are really addressing the situation.

The new Yahoo algorithm shows questions that are similar in phrasing, regardless of age.

Because you aren't bright enough to click the answer tab and just leave it on discover.
Same as every other time this question is asked.

Click on the Answer tab, and not the Discover tab.

BELOW a question one may see other questions that are similar, but older. The site was designed to be a database of knowledge/experience. If a user has the "Answer" tab activated at the top of the question list, they will see current questions. Only during posting an answer (at least on a desktop) can one scroll down and find years-old other questions. For example, the one I see directly below your question (as I'm typing my answer) is "Why is yahooo answers showing and letting me answer resolved questions from 5 years ago??" - a question similar to the one you are asking in that it is also about questions several years old.

Which Tab are you under ? if your under the Discover Tab they tend to show Older Questions that have a lot of Views and Answers on

If you want the Newer ones you have to go to the Answer Tab
