S&S two throat carburetor for Harley shovelhead?
My dad died 2 years ago, and many of his personal belongings were kept in many different places, so I’m still trying to find a lot of them. Yesterday I came across some of his parts from his 78 Electra glide that he wrecked years ago and he thought had been stolen. In there was an S&S two throat carburetor. I know I’ll never have a use for it, so thinking I’ll sell it. It needs to be cleaned and rebuilt, but all parts including intake manifold are there with no damage. I’m trying to figure out what it’s worth. I don’t want to end up selling it for way less than I could get from it. I’ve looked online, but can’t find much on people selling them and on value.
I should add, nobody makes carb kits for these old two throats, so a person would be lucky to find an old kit. I’ve got a friend interested, only to use as a display at his chopper shop, but he’s unsure, and hasn’t made an offer yet.
