Doe anyone know what type of frog or toad this is?

Found it in my pool in South Texas.

Agree with Raven that it is a narrowmouth toad. They are not true toads and therefore they do not have the pair of poison glands found behind the eyes of toads. Narrowmouth toads usually feed on ants, something most frogs and toads do not eat because the ants have high levels of formic acid, a toxin to most animals, including humans. Although they look like toads, they are actually more closely related genetically to true frogs, such as the bullfrog and leopard frog, than they are to toads.
