Atheists do you believe in cryonics.?

storage of a human corpse or severed head, with the speculative hope that resurrection may be possible in the future.

@ HUH?  An idiot is one who does not understand the difference between alive and dead.  Embryos are living organisms at a particular stage of development.  Try freezing a dead embryo and see if the result will be the same, dummy.
As to asking atheists I already know what the answer will be from theists.  When the body dies it is dead, dead, dead and cannot be resuscitated. Only God can do that.

Cryonics is the low-temperature freezing and storage of a human corpse or severed head, WITH the speculative hope that resurrection may be possible in the future. Cryonics is regarded with skepticism within the mainstream scientific community. Wikipedia

@ Fingers and those who say cryonics is just a thing.  Dead bodies are frozen all the time before they are buried: read the above to understand the true meaning of cryonics.

I do not think that we will ever be able to make it work.  When there is a stroke, the momentary loss of blood to the brain causes long term damage.  Being that it is one big electrochemical reaction, I think that there will be too many memory cells wiped out, so even if they can reanimate the body, the brain will have lost too much programming and the person will never be themselves again.

It's stupid. If humans were developed enough to revive you, it would enough for them to start from stored DNA instead of a stored head.

Gloria, are you an idiot?

Corpses have been frozen. We already freeze tissue such as human embryos which have been thawed and implanted to produce healthy babies.  These are facts so belief and disbelief is nonsensical, it is real. Perhaps you are not smart enough to construct a proper question.  Did you mean to ask if it is moral or ethical? If people think that it will be someday possible to reanimate corpses?

There is no question that cryonics is real, just ask the millions of women around the world that have had embryos frozen and stored or their children born following that process.

Besides the obvious flaw in your question, why are you directing it to atheists? Atheism is a position on a single subject, the exist of a God or gods.  Anything that is not related to that subject is irrelevant to atheism so to direct a question like yours to atheists is extremely stupid.Sometimes it is necessary to bluntly point out the stupid to encourage more rational thinking in the future.

I don't believe in cryonics.
I know for a fact that cryonics exists.

You mean do I believe that cryonics will work?

I think you mean to say reanimation. What I know, with current tech ology, those now frozen won't be reanimated. And especially them that just had their brain or head frozen.
It's a nice thought though. And kind of a religion, itself
