Why are Christians so interested in apocalyptic stuff and why are they in a hurry for the world to end ?

Even when Christ the world won't end. God didn't create this universe to end it. He didn't create humans to destroy them. Christ returns and will keep on returning to accomplish a mission but then he will go back to Heaven until he returns again.

It seems like most Christians don't want to be just one more person who lived and died unnoticed.  They want the apocalypse to be scheduled for their own lifetimes because they can't imagine the world going on without them in it.  Their egos tell them that of course pivotal events would be scheduled while they were around because they're so special.

Because the belief in the afterlife, as Nietzsche pointed out, is a revenge fantasy plotted by people who hate their body. Why wouldn't someone who dreams of hurting those that disagreed or wronged them not dream of seeing that on a large scale? People happy with this world don't have fantasies of it burning, but people who are weak poor uninvolved locked away etc. would gladly see it in ashes.

Actually He did...this reality was always meant to be temporary.....and your time here is temporary.

The next life should be our focus

Or as I like to put it, "why are Christians so into the 'End Times' yet they drive like they are afraid to die?"
