How to get into modern AC games?

Played up to 3, didn't finish, enjoyed black flag and rogue. I notice the new ones are way different with new mechanics and combat. I want to get back to them but now with job and things to do I'm 27, is Unity a good choice? I like the setting and what do you think? Do you play them all if not what entries are worth it?

they are different.  more rpg elements have been added into the game.  starting with unity.  the latest with odyssey where you can have dialog options that affect the outcome of the game.

i still play the series.  ac 3 is my least favorite as well and was hard to finish.

i did like unity a lot.  even with the new mechanics it was still a fun game and the setting is beautiful.  the online co op missions were a lot of fun too instead of competitive multiplayer they tried to introduce.  there probably won't be a lot of online players now to try online co op, but the campaign is still fun.

i liked AC syndicate a lot too.  it introduced two characters kind of similar to GTA V where you can switch between them.  and allowed more situations such as different entry points to achieving objectives.  you can be really creative with that.  and industrial London was cool too.

AC origins might be the best one as of late.  even with more rpg elements added, ancient egypt is really beautiful and the protagonist is great.  i wish they stuck with him like ezio for a trilogy.

ac odyssey is a fun game.  but it's not like a real AC game.  the hidden blade is changed to a throwing spear.  though ancient greece is also a great setting.

i'm cautiously optimistic with Valhalla coming up.  will probably wait for a sale though before grabbing it or put it on my holiday wish list.  though they did reintroduce the hidden blade, and social stealth play like in the older games.  so we'll see.
