What About Us?- what will it take for environmental changes to happen?

Somehow, someone managed to convince someone that there wasn't such a thing as global warming and up until now actions haven't been taken because of this. It makes me sad that we follow those who are ignorant and know little of science. When you listen to Michael Jackson's What About Us? And watch the movie where he did the store this is it. Everything he says is true. We are going to lose this Earth, we are going to have worse hurricanes, even worse fires like they said this year couldn't be put out,  the sea stars are dying,  there are way less butterflies, there are hardly any bees .  Even if they don't care about the beautiful creatures that are becoming endangered, they should be concerned because we won't have food! why can't we just mandate local changes? I don't think we can wait around for people to just understand it. Some people never had biology class, some people never learned about the effect of greenhouse gases on the ozone layer. Right now, our ozone layer, when compressed is the size of half a penny. Last year, it was the size of two pennies compressed. Our natural sunscreen from the Sun is being damaged. We have to stop complaining and start doing something. The last ozone hole was three times the size of America. Reducing our use of oil would be perfect, we can find many other ways to use Alternative Energy, alternatives to plastic and fuel. Time to take back our health and the environment what do you think?

* the person who commented below, may not be aware that majority of Southern States have no availability for recycling.  I have a disability where I am unable to drive, so if I was, I would most certainly drive as far as I could to recycle but unfortunately that is not an option for me. State-mandated changes would make it an option for everyone, and what I am talking about.

* also, just me changing my purchases, which by the way I have entirely, is not going to affect the w/hole. If I owned a business, a car company, perhaps I could make these changes but I do not. Large factories are putting off great amounts of pollution, buying alternative products, as I do does not compensate for that. The question was about state-mandated changes.

Should add to the above, it's not about shaming the average citizen.

* it can't be an old account or fake question when I'm updating in the present moment. Wow, you guys really are plants! I didn't know there were plants in the Yahoo answers.

* it can't be old information when this is coming from the latest phys.org article where they measured the current size of the ozone hole on 9/20/20

I just thought I would thwart the above person who answered.  When I said stop complaining, I mean stop the very bickering and misunderstanding that people have of global warming and debating its reality and actually do something. In and of itself, it will take large changes not just the average citizen, so I'm just actually wanting to stir up those people who drank the Fox News Kool-Aid of there not being global warming. So, I suppose the response is valid, I was trying to annoy them. However, also I would love it if people would actually think. There is no Kool-Aid involved in intelligence and reading and researching basic scientific facts. Nobody irritates physics majors and tells them that gravity doesn't exist. Why do you have to irritate biologist who have been doing their job for so many years and keep them from doing the job of protecting the environment?  So, I guess I am trying to bother the uneducated, like the person who commented. By the way, I'm also vegetarian, use recycled organic clothing, there is only so much that the average citizen can do. I don't drive. I rent but I can't change the world or make it affordable for people if we don't work on this as a society as a whole.
