Can COVID-19 relapses (flare-ups) be fatal if you survived the first episode with no difficulties?

You don't have a "flare-up" from COVID.  A "flare-up" implies that you are constantly living with a certain health issue.  (like a flare-up of arthritis or a flare-up of gout - conditions that are always in your body but can have good days and bad days.)

COVID is like the flu - once your body fights it off - it is gone.  You can't "relapse".

You could CATCH COVID again.  Just like you can get the flu more than once - it is believed that you can catch COVID again.

And - yes - the next time you get COVID - there is a risk it could be fatal.
