There was a real Vlad the Impaler, but he wasn't a vampire.

i believe so but not as a vampire it was based off a real person though. there was some video i see about it on youtube a Long time ago. LOTS of stories just like that though. fictional characters based off real people

I believe it was based off of Vlad the Impaler who was a violent ruler that would impale his prisoners to stakes and drink from them which associated him with dracula. But if he actually did just that or not is rumored. So in sorta of a way real yes
