I think LeVar Burton is a great choice. I have a lot of great memories of watching him on Reading Rainbow as a kid. Whoever it is, it has to be someone intelligent, not just a slick game show host type.

I would actually LOVE for LeVar Burton to be the successor. He has the right amount of class to do that show.
