Why do women have periods every month?

Is it because of the loss of life? And can women go days and weeks or months without wearing a tampon pad? Will they be fine? And why do they get upset when their cycles happen? Just curious.

This is a normal part of female reproductive health.  Healthy women get menstrual periods about once monthly once they reach puberty.  This processes continues until a woman reaches her late 50's - early 60's, when her menstrual periods stop in a process called 'menopause'.  All women who menstruate must use a personal hygiene product, which one they utilize is up to personal choice.  I suggest you read up on female reproductive biology if there are still questions after this.
