“But when yоu pray, use nоt vain repetitiоns, as the heathen dо: fоr they think that they shall be heard fоr their much speaking.”

In other words, it doesn't matter how. Just be sincere about it.

Imagine that you really ARE a believer in some God or other.
AND you've gone on a mission to convert the Unbelievers.
AND they took umbrage, hung you by your heels from a tree branch, and are going to take turns smacking your head with sticks.
Would your favourite God NOT accept your prayers, at that moment, because you are not KNEELING?
Any God or Goddess who is THAT anal retentive about bodily positions while praying, is not WORTHY of worship.

No but its perfectly acceptable, a show of humility
1 Timothy 2:8 KJV — I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Do we need to be in a special position when we pray?
No, God doesn’t ask us to kneel, sit, or stand when we pray.
The Bible teaches us that we can talk to God in any respectful position. (1 Chronicles 17:16; Nehemiah 8:6; Daniel 6:10; Mark 11:25)
What is most important to God is, not our position when we pray, but that we talk to him with the right attitude.
We can pray out loud or silently wherever we are and at anytime during the day or night. When we pray to God, we can trust that he will hear us even when nobody else does.

Nope, not at all.
The "real" God hates beggars, and he dislikes it
when his creations try to 'look' like they are begging.
God is not vain enough to let something like
your posture bother him when you pray.
