I have a laptop with windows 10. Lately, it's been super slow. Especially on start up. It's horrible but it would eventually speed up to where it needs to be. That was a while back. I got tired of the computer getting slow so I reset my laptop to it's original settings. Now, it's even slower to the point to where I can hardly get on. This laptop is 4+ years old. Should I just upgrade?

Slow during startup can be caused by updates. When this happens, you need to leave the laptop alone until if finishes doing its thing. Forcing to work with it while updating slows down the whole system. After all, you no longer own your laptop. They can do anything with it since its win10 already.
Whenever a pc is really slow to start it implies a Hard Drive problem. Ignoring the obvious one of it being FULL and I assume you know to regularly check that one, then you should 1) copy off your precious stuff 2) Schedule and Run and Sucessfully COMPLETE a hard drive check before proceeding. If that sorts it out then you are ready to go. You can start a disk check at the SAFE MODE troubleshooting command prompt ie CHKDSK/F C: should make it test the disk and FIX it.
Other than you have a laptop with windows 10 we know nothing else about the laptop's specifications. Its a bit like going to a garage and saying my car has a leather seats why is is so slow? should I get a new one? Update your post with the specs, make and model number and we can advise further - in the start search box type system and paste the results here
