I have a color varied leather handbag that is distressed leather, and has heavy brassware and footed feet on the bottom. If I leave the purse in my room I can smell the leather. It is kind of a heavy purse. How do I know if this purse is worth any money or what kind of grade the leather is?
Its like a dark brown t=with a light browinsh color and looks rugged. It's Schuler and sons of Philidelphia purse.

Your bag sounds like a nice bag. There's no photo of your bag, and I don't know that brand Schuler and Sons, but the most important thing about having a nice leather bag is that you love it and wear it, and not what it's worth. You can always send the company a photo of your bag to find out more about the leather.

Bags of this brand and description are for sale at ebay for $25-40 for the used ones, so it's probably worth about that.
Apparently this brand was sold at Anthropologie stores.
A quality leather purse can last you for years if you take adequate care of it. Enjoy!
