Dog acting weird after dogs death? ?

So my boyfriends dog, rocky, recently passed away. He has 2 dogs. His dog died at the age of 11, the other dog is a Yorkie who is about the same age as him, so they grew up together. Ever since he passed, the Yorkie has been coming up in his room everyday and even sleeping with us which she NEVER used to do, it was always rockys thing. He was be in his room 24/7 snd sleep with us every night. Now she won’t leave. Also, his room is at the end of the hallway, and when you pick her up and put her in the middle of the hallway she RUNS back to his room. If the door is open she will also sit at the door and just start down the hallway sometimes sniffing around. I’ve never seen her act like this before. Could it have anything to do with rocky passing away?

I am sure it does, since pets can mourn the death of a companion

She is mourning the loss of the other dog.  Very common when one has several dogs.  They feel the void & miss the other dog who was a constant all her life.  She will adjust just like us after loosing someone we love.  It just takes time.  She is not used to being alone.

The dog has lost its pal and pack leader, so is having to reorder its life to feel safe
