if i buy a new kindle and i hook it to my amzon will the books go to the new kindle?

Not by default.  You'll have to either connect the Kindle to wifi and download the books from your library, or log in to Amazon, go to Content and Devices, select the books, then tell it to send them to the new Kindle.  They'll download the next time the Kindle is connected to wifi....Show more
