Legal action?

Will the company be blamed for a death of a civilian that is killed by an employee who used a vehicle of the company unauthorized but the company gave the employee the keys because the employee is a the driver but he used the car without the company's acceptance

The government officials are now taking legal actions against the company just because the employees used our car

They are drunk by the way

Now the employee are now also taking legal actions telling us that it is also the companies fault for giving the key , but the company did not allow or no knowledge in the first place that they would use it at night and in the end caused the accidnet .

If you gave the employee, who is a driver for the employer, the keys, you gave authorization to drive the car.  The employee blaming you for giving them the keys is not going to work.  Do you have anything signed by the driver indicating any rules or limitations in regards to use of the vehicle?
