Cricut? Silhouette? Sizzix? Which is best?

Question

If you own or have used any of these die-cutting machines, can you please tell me what you like (or don't) about it and whether you do or don't recommend it?

Also, do you use it as much as you thought you would?  Is it worth what you paid for it and the space it takes up?

I think I want one, but not sure I can justify it, really.  I don't need something big or fancy, just basic.  Any advice will be appreciated, thank you!

Love my Silhouette.  You could get a used Silhouette Cameo 2 or 3 and be able to do most everything you want to do. Designs are often on sale.  My sister has the Cameo 2 and 4 and can use the same software. I have the original and the Cameo 4. I could still use my original machine that cuts a smaller surface.

I know many libraries are closed right now. But My town has two libraries. Both have a makerspace center with a Silhouette for you to use. They also offer a Silhouette 2 levels of software computer class for free. You can schedule a time to go on and get one on one help with using the Silhouette. They also have two iron presses for putting iron on designs. If any library in your area offers this it is the best way to see if you want to buy one.   You don’t have to have a library card or live in their boundaries to use anything in their makerspace center. Which includes a sewing machines, embroidery machines, wood etchers, and 3D printers.
