Can anyone answer my practice question?
The blue light of wavelength 450 nm passes through a single slit with a width of
1.5 x 10^-5m. What is the angle to the third secondary maximum that appears on the screen?

For constructive interference and a single slit,
D*sinΘ = (2n+1)*λ/2
where D = slit width and n = # of the secondary maximum
So here, 1.5e-5m * sinΘ = (2*3+1)*450e-9m / 2
sinΘ = 0.105 → → → Θ = 6.0º
