Criminals are generally opportunistic. If there are 10 potential victims in a room, the one with their wealth on show will be their prime target.

Depends where you are going and what time of day it is. If you’re walking around late at night I would suggest to avoid this or to wear less expensive jewelry.

Obviously it depends on where you are.
I used to live in London. If I was coming home late from a party I would make sure none of it was visible, and if it was, I'd take it off before I left my friend's house, and tuck it into different pockets. Never into my bag, because a bag can get snatched. But if you have earrings in one pocket, gold watch in another, and so on, then you'd have to lose your whole coat to be totally robbed.
Now I live in rural Scotland and I never worry about being robbed at all, ever.

It all depends on where you are or where you plan to go. But heed this, when you wear gold, you will always have to be concerned about where you are and where you are going. I once knew a guy that wore a fake Rolex. Two guys came up to him, one with a machete and cut off his wrist to get the watch. Once they realize the Rolex was fake, they came back while he was screaming and bleeding to death and finished him off by stabbing him through the chest.

Yeah, especially if you are in the hood
