If I am given a set of coordinates how do I determine if the figure is a parallelogram and prove using the slope formula for each segment?

Coordinates: A(-3,4), B(4,5), C(5,-1), D(-2,-2).

Slope of AB=

Slope of BC=

Slope of CD=

Slope AD=

 Coordinates: A(-3, 4), B(4, 5), C(5, -1), D(-2, -2).

 Slope of AB = 1/7
 Slope of BC = -6
 Slope of CD = 1/7
Slope AD = -6

 ABCD is a parallelogram.

The slopes are 1/7, -6, 1/7, and -6.
So there are two pairs of parallel sides.  It's a parallelogram.
You can make yourself feel better about it by drawing a picture of it, too.
