Enabling WiFi adapters in network computers?

Hey, so I recently fell into a job as an IT tech and we have about 20 Dell Laptop computers all running Windows 10 Enterprise.

I need the WiFi adapters reenabled in order to connect to a shared drive via a limited WiFi connection. I believe that these adapters were disabled prior to us going wireless and as of now, they are mostly just paper weights. If I can enable the adapters, that would greatly increase our ability. 

I have confirmed that the adapters do exist through the system information of each one of the laptops, but whenever I go through the local policies, I can not find any mention of any WLAN adapter. I admit, I’m not the most seasoned tech, and I fell into this job as a secondary duty. I’m a mechanic who has some network related knowledge. And the last individual who was in my spot was... less than perfect. If you catch my drift. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you try going into the device manager:

    Open the “Run” dialog box by pressing and holding the Windows key, then press the R key (“Run”).    Type devmgmt.msc.    Click OK .

You should see a section called "Network adapters" and it will show you if the WLAN adapters are present or if they need drivers installed.
