Should I lie to become popular?

Rich and famous people don't get popular by saying comforting things. That's the most wacked out assertion I've seen today. Becoming popular is cutthroat. After becoming popular, to stay popular, people front, people put on airs that it wasn't, that it was the easiest most natural thing in the world, and that it was all rainbows and unicorns, but it wasn't and still isn't.
