Do women really have it harder than men, after all of the economic, and social advantages they have?

Over all, they may not be as rich as the top men... But in order to make a living, they don't have to be..

Women can MORE easily be hired as a CNA, an LPN, and a Non-APN Registered nurse.

I pretty much have to be the Doctor, the Surgeon, the Anesthesiologist, or the top APN.
(The APN, Advanced Practitioner Nurse is a nurse with at least a Master's degree, and is the one who RUNS the nurses station).

Women can MORE easily be hired as waitresses at diners...
At a diner, I would be stuck with minimum wage washing the dishes or cooking the food.

Waiters typically work at high end restaurants and 5 star hotels and casinos...
They're excellent for the customers...
They're horrible to be waiter in...

I would be kissing people's a)sses and getting paid very little more than a waitress at a much easier diner.

Women can work in childcare.
Nobody would hire me.

To work in finance... I have to be the Banker, the Loan Officer, or the Certified Public Accountant or the Manager, or the Bank President...

Women can more easily be hired as the teller.

Women can more easily be a hair dresser.

What do these jobs that women can easily be, all have in common ?

They're low skilled, assistance jobs in their respective industries or fields of work, any of which can independently supply them with a roof over their head, clothes to wear, food to eat, and furniture to sit on..

Also...
Women get married younger than men..
So women don't need as much achievement in order to have anything.

Sharon, your brother refers to you very often when he posts a rant.  Odd that the two of you have the same writing style, think the same, use the same phrases.  So I'll guess no, women don't have it easier than men.

You'll find that the licensing criteria for nurses is identical for both male and female candidates. But if your point is that lower paying jobs are easier for women to get while higher paying jobs are harder for women to get...you've basically just outed yourself as a feminist.

With Anonymous' "men could do daycare" comment, she really doesn't know what she's talking about.

Men are far more likely to be fired or avoided in the day care industry than women, on the basis of the same information.  Society trusts men less than women around children.

Hiring men in childcare and K-12 teaching is a more risky decision from the point of view of most of these institutions - based more on public perception than statistics.

True, small pay is a huge influencer, but we've lost a lot of good male teachers because of societal bigotry.

The last few generations of women (starting with those that were raised in the 1970's), were all treated equally to the boys in school, and given extra attention in preparation to enter the workforce.  This was, and continues to be the social engineering of schools (along with a lot of critical theory as of late).

Even today, women have all sorts of supports from society where at the same time, any supports for men are deemed to be "sexist" or no longer exist.  This is why some of the more daunting responsibilities for men, like marriage, are quickly fading away as goals for men in their lifetime.  It was hard enough before.  But under today's system, with no supports other than to be poked and told to "man up", a lot of men are saying no way!

Regarding the work world, it is obvious that even today, 50 years after the Equal Pay Act, where the vast majority of female workers have never suffered any discrimination but still get the benefit of affirmative action, that the system is much more sympathetic to women.  Women are still treated as if they are a novelty in areas where they are the minority while men are just expected to be there, and to do the heavy lifting.  In female dominated environments on the other hand, men are treated as if they are a potential problem while the culture is geared to women and hostile to men.  Men are just supposed to be OK with that and not complain.  And obviously, most don't because to do so would be unmanly.

Somebody sure knows how to throw a pity party. Men can get most of these low paying jobs you mention, most don't want them. How many men want to work in daycare or be a nurse's aide?
