Other words to use besides "love" or "sincerely"?

As a kid I just wrote "love, my name" with everything. Now getting a little older, card to a friend or aquantance or something like that, I never realized the word "love" or a heart with a comma, could be inappropriate or possibly even taken the wrong way depending on the recipient..
(I write a lot and any time I sign my name I draw a heart, a comma then my name...)
So first of all would writing a heart really seem innapropriate or am I being dramatic, and second, what are nice alternative words..?
I like "sincerely" but dont know if it sounds weird since its so much longer than just drawing a heart, which is the only way I'm used to signing...

Forgot to mention my dad is a first responder, so half the time I write thank you notes for them and leave my name, because some have taken pictures and asked my dad if it was his daughter who wrote it.. So for those kinds of things too, I'm starting to feel weird about writing a heart with my name while giving it to, technically, a stranger.....

“Regards” is a useful closing expression

First of all, don't draw a heart when you sign a card, a letter, or anything else. It's a bit childish, and it doesn't leave a good, adult image. You could write:
best wishes
regards
yours faithfully (on official letters)
yours sincerely (on letters to friends, family)
all the best
thinking of you.
