Applying lime to lawn?

my front lawn needs about 20lbs of lime.  We are getting 1 inch of rain tomorrow with 30mph winds. Can I spread tonight  while no wind?

I put it down just before a good rain or in the fall when the snow will cover it and let is seep in when it melts in the spring

I would water it in right away a bit so the rain doesn’t just wash it away
