I had 6 of them turned on and a tv, dvd, and fan in another room, and light all.sharing the same two outlets with extension cords.

Now I've seen people with arcade basements and garages. How do they do it?

By having enough outlets. The voltage is always the same, no matter how many you plug in. It's the amps you need to look at. The have to add up to something less than the breaker...........
