steps to use on electric paint sprayers?

Is it necessary to check the viscosity of the types of paint before using the paint sprayer. I thought just add paint and just start painting?. Do all paint sprayers you have to do these step or which ones you don't need to?  Thanks

Most paint sprayers that are electric are designed to spray latex or oil-based paints out of the can.

Without thinning the paint. But before you pour it into your paint receptacle you need to mix it really well and then pour the paint through a paint strainer. If you don't do that the nozzle of your paint spraying machine is going to clog right up .

Start off with your nozzle open. And use a test object a piece of old wood or plywood once the paint begins to flow quickly tighten the nozzle to where you want it.
Then you can go about doing the job that you were doing

The first step is to read the instructions.  The second step is to try it out and get the experience before you work on your project.  The third step is to figure out the tape and shield you will use.  All of the preparation work takes longer and is more important than the paint job.  One time we had a professional painter paint our house.  He said he would spray it and he worked alone.  We asked him how he could do that since it takes one man to hold the shield to keep the paint off of the brick.  He said he could do it, he was faster and it saved him the cost of a helper.  So, we watched him do it.  It was the most methodical, coordinated movements I have ever seen in work.  A true art.  Perfect and quick.

With any sprayer you need to check viscosity, strain your paint, select the desired tip and  adjust pressure/volume.
Cleaning is also critical when you are done.

Spray cans ...shake and go.
