For those chosen to rule with Jesus in heaven as joint heirs,yes those ones do become spirits, the majority of the 144000 are already there, for the rest of humankind our hope is to live forever on earth under the rulership of the heavenly Kingdom rule with Jesus Christ God's appointed King and the 144000 ruling as Kings and Priests.

No. The resurrections described by the Bible are tangible, physical, and immortal. We are only spirits between death and the resurrection.

We don't "become" a spirit. A human being consists of body and spirit, physical nature and spiritual nature. When we die, we leave our physical body behind, while our spirit appears before God in judgment. I "like to believe" the truth God has revealed.
