Why did I dream that my kids were in jail?

I have a 9 year old daughter, and a 7 year old daughter. Last night I dreamt that they were in jail. It was a jail for children, and adults. The outside of the building looked like a church (they haven’t been to church since Covid-19) or maybe an old school. I have no idea how or why they ended up there. I went to see them, and what broke my heart was that they were kind of ok with it. I thought they would have been in a corner crying scared, but they were like we’re used to it now. I went back to see them a year later, and cried again because they had just accepted that this was there situation (even though they had no choice). At one point a guard opened the door, and their minds were blown, because they got to see outside. I begged the guard to let them step out for a few, and she did. They were so excited just to see the sun, the street, cars, the sidewalk. It hurt so bad that I knew they had to go back in. They both had to do 4 & 5 years, I never found out what they did. Why did I have this dream?

In case it helps:
I am married to the youngest ones dad.
The oldest ones dad is not very present.
They are generally very happy kids.
I get compliments from teachers, doctors churches, friends everywhere on how well behaved they are.
I also have a one year old daughter.

I have often seen that dreams between parents and their children are not tied to the natural dimension. That is why they don't make sense if seen that way. They symbolically represent our relationship as sons and daughters of God, and our Father in heaven.

In such dreams the parents represent God, and the children represent us.

Why would God give people such dreams?
To show them how HE feels about what is going on in our lives.

His children (us) are in fact in chains, and in jail so to speak.
They have been chained by their past or by painful memories.
They have been chained by demons who lead them to addictions.
They have been chained by lies of who they are in Christ.
They have been chained by the distractions of this world.

The way you feel about seeing your son and daughter in jail is the same way how HE feels about seeing so many of his sons and daughters in chains.

In the same way (we) have often just accepted our situations (chains) as normal. But our Father in heaven longs to see us free. He send His Son Jesus Christ to die for us so we can be free.

Please, repent of your sins and ask Jesus Christ to break all the chains and set you free from jail, and then lead others to be free too.
There is not much time left in this church era.

It sounds like your Life is moving right on along but the visit with your two daughters in jail was quite disturbing for you. They have not enjoyed the normal everyday things in Life, such as the sun shinning on the trees, or sidewalks, the joy of just being alive, as they have been enclosed, away from the Life of the world.  This loads you with a feeling of guilt.  I don't know why they deserved this punishemnt to begin with, but they have clearly been left out of the closeness of family love.  You saw them once a year?  It seems to me that you may be feeling a bit of guilt about the birth of another little daughter into a family with two other young girls still not yet into their teens.  You have a generous heart, and this feeling has disturbd you enough so that your mother's mind gave you a dream about your inability to work a miracles and spring your two kids from jail!   What loving concern you have expressed, clearly showing the love you have for all three of your children.  You really have no reason to allow yourself to feel guilty or worried.  Hug all the kids, as often as you can, and the imaginary guilt will disappear.
