Now that MLB Pulled the All-Star Game From Georgia in Response to Voting Law are they right or no?

MLB announced Friday that in response to Georgia’s new voting law it would move this season’s July All-Star game from Truist Park to a ballpark in another state.

The Cobb County Travel and Tourism Bureau has estimated that MLB's decision will cost local business more than $100 million in lost tourism dollars, according to Atlanta's WSB-TV:

The move served as a warning to Republicans in other states who are trying to restrict voting, and is likely to put new pressure on other organizations and corporations to consider pulling business out of Georgia.

I think that they are right to do so.

I believe MLB pulling the All Star Game out of Atlanta is a mistake because of a voting law. It's just an All Star Game which is an exhibition game that comes and goes and after it's played, most fans don't remember who won the game or where it was even played.

If Major League Baseball decides to cave to political pressure and go the path that the NFL and NBA, they should expect fans to stop following professional baseball who might never come back.

As much as I enjoy watching professional baseball, I have decided not to follow MLB this season. I will support minor league baseball and the College World Series; however, I will not support MLB because they do not realize the economic impact they are putting on the Atlanta area for not having this game because they allow political pressure to influence their decisions. There is a saying "You should never talk politics at work" and politics and sports do not mix since people who go to sporting events go to the events to get away from politics and the challenges they face in life to enjoy spending time with others to be entertained for a couple of hours.

The sport that I will watching that doesn't appease to political pressure is NASCAR. After all, it's the only sport in the United States of America where all the participants (the drivers) stand for the flag during the playing of the Star Spangle Banner, Cherish the Defenders of our nation who serve in the United States Armed Forces, Law Enforcement and Firefighters and Pray to the Cross of Jesus Christ who gave his life on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins.

Thirty five states require photo IDs to vote.  Why is this controversial?

I guess that depends on how you view the law.

I feel that it's understandable.

However, laws like the ones in question in Georgia could be avoid if The Democrats would agree to a voter ID, and the Republicans would agree to a free option for those below the poverty level.

Really guys, it ain't that f@cken hard.
