Some people do not want to believe that Marilyn Monroe took an overdose, by mistake or even intentionally. They think that it sounds better if they say that someone murdered her because of this/that/and the other, or an affair gone wrong.
At the end of the day a lovely but troubled lady is dead and as an actress she was okay. Perhaps if the powers that be had given her some decent roles, other then the dumb blonde roles she would have shown them what she could do.
