Why would a woman cheat on somone they claim to love?

Even after I caught her she still cries that she loves me. I don't know how she could do this to me after all the hours that I've worked and money that I've spent on our family. I don't want to break it off with her for the sake of our son, but I don't think I can ever trust again. How could she do it?

Get the divorce and file for sole custody of your son.

Just because someone has casual sex outside of a relationship or marriage, it doesn't mean they don't still love their partner. Cheating is complex

Well the reality of it is, you may not be able to trust her again and I think it’s worse staying in a relationship where your son may see you two arguing a lot out of the fact that she cheated. My parents are divorced and I am honestly so much more happier that my dad is happy. Cheating is a thing where once it happens, the relationship is pretty much over. If you think you should separate from her, you should do it while your son is young and not when your son has the ability to concept it. It is your relationship and you have a right to decide, but just remember your son will be happier with a family that is happy than a family that isn’t
