Left handers seem to defy the evolutionary logic that if a trait is favourable, it will become persistent in the population. Being right handed clearly seems to be the most favourable trait because about 90% of the population is right handed, but left handed people haven't become extinct - why?

In the 60's the teachers forced me to use my right hand. Left handed people are more creative just pay attention to how many people on TV shows are left handed.
It's only socially favourable. I'm not sure on the mechanisms behind preferential hands (and eyes, feet etc) but there isn't particularly an evolutionary advantage. Only artificial social advantages that have arisen because most people are right handed.
