i installed a new starter on my 1996 aerostar 4.0L engene and the starter will not engage flywheel ring gear.?
i have change the starter two more times, but no change in the problum.

Maybe your flywheel is striped or come loose. Does the bendix engage? If not, Check the little wire going to your starter for a good connection.

Hi, Ronda...sounds like either you have some teeth missing from your starter ring, or you got the wrong starter. Missing teeth are a common problem.
