Has anyone here experienced the "living water" described in John 7:38?
I have had this spiritual experience myself. I was wondering if others had too. This is not discussed very much in the churches and I found only a few references about it in the Bible. Thanks to all who gave a biblical reference. I also found 1 John 5:8.
What I am really asking is have you experienced this and perhaps sharing that experience a little. These answers a great! I agree with the statements that it is His Spirit and love that overflowing with us. I also felt that this is not something we should retain, like a cistern, but allowed to flow out to others. Any thoughts on this?

Bill, I have and you will to.
There is nothing better than to back this up with Scripture.
Read John Chapter 7: verse 38-39 again. Then read the following in order. Acts 1:4-5, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:17-18, John 3:5-8, and Acts 2:38-39.
Remember, God is the author of the Bible. Any questions about the bible, prayer is the key. I will also pray for you.

The next verse answers that question:
"By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified." (vs. 39)
Jesus speaks another time of this "Living Water." Read John 4:1-26.
Jesus is refering to the Holy Spirit.
