Has anyone here experienced the "living water" Jesus talked about with the Samaritian woman at the well?

I have had this spiritual experience myself. I was wondering if others had too. This is not discussed very much in the churches and I found only a few references about it in the Bible. John 4:6-29; John 7:37-39; 1 John 5:8

What I am really asking is have you experienced this and perhaps sharing that experience a little. I agree with the statements that it is His Spirit and love that is overflowing within us. I also felt that this is not something we should retain, like a cistern, but allowed to flow out to others. Any thoughts on this?

Yes, this is the relief we get when we are saved, we have God's love and happiness in us, and I think God would like it if we shared some of that with others. After my dad was saved, people noticed this difference in him, this joy and happiness and because of that he got to explain it was because of Jesus. What a wonderful gift that God has given to us!

Yes, in my early years I had that "joy that overflows" that just splashed around on others. After that, I pretty much have been a hoser tapped into the faucet of the Lord. He supplies the torrents, and waves me about to quench the thirst of others. ;)

People have been experiencing Jesus that way for centuries. It's one of the greatest proofs of his power.

The important thing now is to respond in praise and adoration, seeking to grow closer to him and become more and more like him in character.

One of the most common ways for this new life in Christ to manifest itself is by an increased love for others. For me, this hit me totally by surprise. I had always lived for myself before. Suddenly I found that I had a desire to love and serve others, not because I wanted to get anything in return, but simply because God put that love in my heart.

    God is really great.

I have recently undergone the believer's baptism and felt God enter anew my heart and my life. His word is in me and I will spread it like water where I find chance. Brother in Christ, may you walk in his love and his light forever Blessings.
