What are the defenses being argued by the tobacco industry?

At this point anyone who chooses to smoke is aware of what the results are, since the warnings are on the boxes. Is it their fault that people choose to smoke anyways? (Not my argument, theirs.)

They shouldn't have to put up any defense as they never made anyone use their product. Are you one of those people who think it is up to the government to keep you safe and healthy? Try doing it yourself and you will live a lot longer.
