I'm looking for interesting genealogy stories where people discovered amazing things about their ancestors
I need a link to a few stories about people searching for their family histories and finding out amazing things-- like that their ancestors were kings, pirates, politicians, etc.-- anything amazing, even if it's not that crazy, that came as a result of searching for one's family history/genealogy

My cousin did our genealogy and discovered our family descended from English royalty. I don't know his name, I was young and was kind of ho-hum about it at the time but other family members were real excited about it. Sorry, no link.

One of my ancestors was James Squire - google for his name and you'll come up with things.
I don't have a webpage though, but I've found out that he was Romany and was transported on the first fleet out to Australia as a highwayman.
He later became Australias first beer brewer and a real philanthropist.
