Its harder to get along with each other than it is to fight. Fights are easy to start and simple to continue. People want the best for themselves, and as long as someone else has something better than them they will want it. Countries will always fight to get more more power, whether from their own people or from those of other countries.

Because every nation is just waiting for, any other nation to take an initiative towards attaining world peace.

Because no one ever wins. People don't want to compromise (which means both parties give in a little), they want to have it all and always be happy. It is in our nature.

The greatest warts have been over religion, because ppl can't handle the very fabric of their soul being questioned.

Because it's human nature, you know, primal instinct, that makes people react sourly to change and difference. People attack first, ask questions later. If people took enough time to get to know different people, then they'd decide that, well, people are people. And since everbody was raised by someone more primal than they are, they keep relying on tjose primal instincts.
