Stargate SG1? O'neil or Mitchell?
Watching the newer episodes without O'neil are hard to digest. Does anyone think that O'neil will show up in more episodes?

I love O'Neill, but Mitchell's kind of fun. He's just as much a fan of the original team as any audience member, which kind of gives him this "golly, WOW!" attitude towards the other team members, especially Teal'c and Daniel.
As for the Return of the Jack, he's scheduled to show up in two episodes of SG-1's tenth season (including the 200th episode of the show) and three episodes of Atlantis' third season.
Read the article at Gateworld about Richard Dean Anderson asking his daughter for permission to return to work. It's cute!

I really like the performance of Ben Browder in this season and I think he is doing a great job so far. Also, he brings some of the same qualities to SG-1 that O'Neill did; however, it may take a couple more seasons before we can completely get used to him. I admit it does feel different without O'Neill, but next season he's supposed to return in five episodes next season, and he's supposed to do a guest appearance on Stargate Atlantis next season as well.

I think O'Neill is done for now. Richard Dean Anderson basically quit the show because it took too much time out of his life and family. Unless, he somehow finds a way to clone himself so he can be with his family and be on SG1 I doubt he will return. I feel your pain, Mitchell is ok but the character of O'Neill was classic.

Oh I hate Mitchell. O'Neill was so much better! I hope he returns to a few more episodes.

Well since I only get older version. No cable so no Sci-fi for me but I wouldn't watch one without O'Neil.

O'neill is awesome and I really hope that he comes back but there are no promises.

Per Star CON and the RD Anderson web site - Yes, he;ll be back - but only in a limited basis.
Personally, I'd like to see more of General Hammond as well.

He will return. He is just taking a break.
