Does the FBI have to restore property property destroyed during an investigation?
A barn was destroyed in looking for Hoffa on private property. Will the FBI have to restore it or is the homeowner 'just out of luck' since a prior owner is alleged as participating in a crime? There has been no charge.
Hopefully someone has a web reference

I don't think that they do. I've been searching for about 10 minutes and I still can't find a web reference to it.
To the girl above me, please tell me that you were kidding. Jimmy Hoffa, union boss.. I think his death is probably one of the biggest cover-ups in history.

My Dear, Please, save yourself. He is destroying property now, but as the argument get more intense the items will too. I would not want to see you hurt if you feel threatened & are confused and afraid, I suggest you leave. I beg you sometimes when people are angry they can't think properly. It would be easy for him to hurt you. I'm sure he is very apoligetic after his fits and you probably have great sex afterwards, believe me that it a bad sign! How many times will he say Sorry, if he really meant it, then he would stop the maddness. If there are children involved then you should have been gone. Be smart about how you leave only you know how he will react. Devise a good plan so you will be finacially, and mental able to handle it and don't tell anyone where you are going. Unless they are completely trustworthy, because he will ask and probably destroy some of there property, but fear not they will do what you've been afraid to do. Call the cops and lock his *** up!

I say the owner should write a book about the events and get it out there, **** at this rate it might be another 30 years to find this person. Who's Hoffa anyways???

Usually when a warrant is executed the Agency that damages property does not have any responsibility to repair or pay for damages. You could attept to sue to collect but I don't think you will get anywhere.

No they do not usually. If they are searvching they have a judge that has issued them a warrant to do so. The barn was in the way of their search so they have a right to tear it down to search for a body.

The government will have to reimburse the owner if no criminal activity of the owner was found!
