Can you catch a cold from sleeping under a ceiling fan?
I slept with my fan on last night and this morning I have the sniffles.

Colds are caused by viruses, mainly rhinovirus and coronavirus. Sleeping under a fan will not cause more of the viruses to enter your system unless there is someone with the virus sneezing into the fan. However, if you sleep with a strong fan blowing directly on you it can give you a sore throat in the morning due to the wind drying out your oral mucosa, but that is not a cold.

Yes but not all the time. which means,..it is possible to catch a cold.
Well, my advise here is that try sleeping with a table fan that can rotate.

No; however, existing bacteria that often cause colds breed on your tongue and inside your nose. Your immunization system is able to work harder in warm conditions. This is where your fan comes into play. Not only does it dry out some of your sinuses, it hinders your immunization system from fully combating the already present bacteria.

yes. I catch a cold from dang air conditioners, too. No fans or AC's for me at night. I'll be hot. Do you sleep with your mouth open? Seems to my problem.
