How does the TV rating system work?
For example, Ryan Seacrest would say that 200 million people viewed into American Idol. How are they able to check how many people viewed into a certain show and how do they know if the person just turned to that channel for a quick second then changed channels? Do they know when I watch a specific show and does it go into their little TV ratings thing? Ahh confusing. Thanks.♥

they have a little man sitting in every T.V. with a cell phone and every time you change the channel he calls the stations and tells them what you are watching...........
